Tarras Valley Education and Engagement
The Tarras Valley Nature Reserve is committed to providing engaging and fun environmental and outdoor education to young people in the local community.
The project follows over 10 years of the Langholm Initiative delivering educational sessions in the countryside around Langholm, and aims to help local young people connect with and learn about the community-owned Tarras Valley.
We provide a variety of activities, including learning about local habitats and wildlife; bushcraft sessions, and running John Muir Awards, plus much more.
In addition to working with local schools and youth organisations, we also aim to provide an opportunity for other groups to get involved, and welcome visits from school and other youth groups from outside of Langholm.
